Day 7

Wake up at 5:30.
At 7 already on seals. The forecast says that to 13 is relative visibility without a strong wind.
It goes totally unknown. We checked somewhat on the poor map but did not answer us how to get to the desired spot.
After 1h after the platoue, we reach the podnora, but it turns out to be a non-dream wall. After another 2 hours of steep approach, we get to the neighboring valley. The heights are not big, not the difficulty. The area is completely explored. Lack of information on the locales – we asked in the town of Ny Alesund, to which we chose a yacht after 25h of navigation. Now there is a lot of confusion “in the bypass” because suddenly 130 people live here, only 30 in the winter. Mainly scientists and researchers of the Arctic and northern phenomena. We are for that
the first yacht. which has sailed so far this year.
Despite the confusion everyone talks only about the avalanche danger and if we want to go there, there are too many rocks and better not, and there it is very steep and reborn.
We have our own sense of space, comfort and a great desire to be revealing. Due to the fact that our trip is the first of its kind in the Arctic regions and in terms of freeride, we were unable to reach the information sources about this area, taking into account the freeride explorations.
We are going to the other opening valley in the east. after reaching the first stage on the road, we have a large wall of blue-gray glacier. We are prepared. We will create two four-person teams, leading two “crewmen” and a rescue person, if the gaps were not sufficiently snowy and leading or another of us would fall into such.

Relatively quickly and efficiently overcome the glacier slope, another steep wall, however, lets go to the foce and we are located on another platform still glacial, unfortunately, from which you can see our goal. The ridge from which we should be allowed to attack the peak leads a wide but steep under 40-45 ‘gully, as it turns out later with a varied snow cover.
We are going next hours are running away. at the end of the gully, splints must be carried on backpacks and on steep, frozen snow to the top. The end is exposed but brings incredible joy, carefully step by step …
Czubak on a steep wall breaks the heel binding and ends with a flat leg.

After 5 hours of approach, we reach the top of the mountain which is not called nothing. it was nice. Satisfaction is even greater. Spreading in the head areas for the available merit of the whole team. There were several concepts. The decisions made by the team turned out to be accurate and as a result it allowed to reach the summit.
now down. Mutek our operator was on the flattening of the glacier to launch the drone and film the fatigue accompanying the climb and descents.
Now down. Alternating snow, but in the upper parts of a slightly shaded gully soft, even very pleasant, snowy snow, in the central part fast but frozen itself, much heavier and slightly slower though t

To full happiness, when everyone from the team reached the top of the weather window, we made visibility for a million.
Amazing day. 7h action is what it captures the most but the surreal images of the Arctic ocean after which the huge ice floes and icebergs wash. While being in the mountains of the north, during downhills with the view of this raw, unbroken natra is the fact that it is empty here. People here are reaching out for scientific research. Other people would serve those who run the study beyond that empty. Total outback. NOTHING, and at the same time ….

he slope compensated for everything.

Arctic Freeride, something else ….
