Movie description:
A short film documenting the first Polish splitboard expedition exploring the Svalbard area for freeriding. A year of preparations in order to get on a seagoing yacht and sail into the unexplored, often unspoiled mountain areas of Spitsbergen.
Eight snowboard enthusiasts, two crew members, direction 80th parallel. The beauty of the wild and harsh nature of the Arctic and people facing him to find the kind of freedom that places distant from civilization can be.

Darek Anioł Engel
Snowboarder, resident, co-founder of the SnowProgres school, organizer of freeride trips and trips, international freestyle referee snb fis. Vinyl lover and minimalist photography. For years, however, the wild mountains have attracted him most. Freeride is the essence of his mountain activities. He likes to write and photograph the mountains, but first of all he loves to be in them. Freshly ground coffee and wife pancakes close the circle.
Michal Mutek Zielinski – filmmaker
He comes from Bielsko Biała. For 4 years, he has been professionally involved in video production as well as photography. In connection with the work of the operator, he travels a lot, and snowboarding is his greatest passion, thanks to which he survived many interesting adventures. On a daily basis, he explores the Beskidy, but also realized film materials in Australia, Japan, the USA and practically the whole of Europe, working with many world-famous snowboarders and for many brands. He is self-taught, and his films have been screened and awarded at many sports and mountain festivals.
